- To celebrate National Startup Day, IMCC’s Startup & Innovation Cell hosted an insightful session titled “Unlearning the MBA: The Art of
Effectual Thinking” featuring Ms. Shweta Uttam (Innovation Catalyst, AIC IISER Pune Seed Foundation).Key Highlights:
* Effectual Thinking: Ms. Uttam challenged students to move beyond traditional “causal” planning and focus on “Effectuation”—using
available resources to create new opportunities.
* The Entrepreneurial Mindset: Insights on the “Bird-in-Hand” principle and the importance of “Affordable Loss” over high-risk
speculation.
* Interactive Q&A: Students engaged in a lively discussion about seed funding, risk-taking, and navigating the startup ecosystem.
This session successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and the agile reality of modern entrepreneurship. At MES IMCC, we continue
to empower our students to be the job creators of tomorrow.
