Industry Visit to Cummins Plant, Phaltan

MBA students visited the Cummins Manufacturing Plant, Phaltan, as part of their industry exposure program. The visit offered valuable insights into the company’s Power Generation (PPG) and Commercial Power Generation (CPG) units, where students learned about the manufacturing of key engine components such as the connecting rod, cylinder block, and cylinder head, followed by assembly, testing, washing, painting and dispatch processes. Students also gained exposure to Cummins’ vertical storage system, global operations across 73+ countries and applications in local infrastructure and defence, making the visit a highly enriching blend of technical and managerial learning.

Such visits bridge classroom learning with real-world industrial practices and prepare students for industry-ready careers.
