Rajya Marathi Vikas Sanstha and Institute of Management and Career Courses (IMCC) joined hands together for the localization of Audacity software’s interface and manual in Marathi language.

According to Aim of Rajya Marathi Vikas Sanstha Para 1 and point number 6, localization project has been taking into development of technology for Bharatiya languages. To promote the Marathi language and its usage MES IMCC was provided for the financial support of 8.16L.

Objectives of the Localization Project:

1. To translate/prepare user manual of Audacity 2.3.0 in Marathi language.
2. To develop appropriate linkage between English technical term and corresponding Marathi terms.
3. To develop articles in Marathi explaining the concepts regarding audio editing, concepts specific to recording digital audio using Audacity 2.3.0.
4. To completely translate Audacity 2.3.0 to provide user interface into Marathi language.

Technology & Bharatiya Bhasha Summit

With the theme of “Technology FOR Bharatiya Bhasa, Technology IN Bharatiya Bhasha and Technology THROUGH Bharatiya Bhaha” a national level summit as organized by the Ministry of Education. Government of India. In alignment of New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 promotion and development of Bharatiya Bhasha using digital technology platform andICT Tools, an interactive platform was provided on 30th September 2022 and 1st October 2023 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.

The summit programme has a variety of events from interactive panel discussions, poster presentation, and exhibitions. More than 2000 participants participated in different activities. A public pavilion was set up for the showcasing of different Bharatiya Bhasha Technology products and applications
developed by industries, government organizations and start-ups. Under the Technology IN Bharatiya Languages a tech stall was set up
and the Audacity Localization Project was showcased during the summit.
